The office of Environmental Health and Safety provides services to the City Tech community in the areas of environmental compliance, laboratory safety, accident prevention, workplace safety, training services, and hazardous waste management. This office is the liaison with regulatory agencies involved in environmental and/or occupational health and safety. Some offices include the federal EPA, NYS Departments of: Labor (PESH); Health (DOH); Environmental Conservation (DEC); and NYC Departments of: Health (DOHMH); Fire (FDNY); Environmental Protection (DEP). The office is also responsible for the development and effective implementation of CUNY's Environmental Health and Safety policies.
